Interpersonal coordination and inter-brain synchrony (hyperscanning)
By simultaneously measuring brain activity in two people, we study the relationship between coordinated actions and inter-brain synchrony.
RESEARCH
We interact with other people in our daily lives. These relationships strongly influence our mental and physical health, and building positive relationships is an important part of well-being.
I am interested in fluctuations in mental states that arise through interactions with our environment, including other people and information technologies. Using approaches from neuroscience and information science, I seek to understand the mechanisms underlying these fluctuations. Building on these insights, I explore forms of communication and interaction that better support individuals, groups, and society.
I am currently working on the following research projects.
